However, Alhambra Star is best suited for intermediate level artists, although beginners can finish the project with the guidance from video instructions and the accompanying handouts with illustrated step by step guidelines.

Supplies

graphite pencil to draw strings,
black pen (such as Micron PN, which I am using) for drawing line work (I also used Graphic 1 by Sakura to retrace lines),
watercolor pencils for shading and coloring (I used Albrecht Dürer by Faber-Castell),
white color pencil and charcoal pencil for highlighting (I’m using a Pablo pencil by Caran D’Ache and Gioconda charcoal white by Kooh-I-Noor Hardtmuth),
white gel pen for highlighting (Gelly Roll by Sakura),
gray marker or brush pen such as Koi Brush Pen (optional) to enhance shades.

Paper tiles:

a zendala (round paper tile) for drawing the design,
a bijou tile to help prepare the string (for a six-point Alhambra pattern a 3 Z tile is needed).
