Tangled Wreath Video Class

If you love botanical drawings and organic tangles, this video class might be for you. I will lead you through the process of drawing, shading, and coloring, sharing tips and tricks that could help you in your creative practice. Join me and draw your own tangled wreath.
In this Tangled Wreath video lesson you will learn to:

  • tangle a wreath composed of beautiful, botanical tangles,
  • draw, shade, and highlight an appealing 3D dome-shaped center,
  • use colors and textures to add visual points of interest that don't distract from the focal detail,
  • add color even after you're done with shading and highlighting.
This video class consists of smaller sections, which makes it easier to digest and navigate, as well as to go back if you want a reminder about a certain project phase.

This particular package consists of 8 video lessons with a total length of 1h 55m (excluding the introduction).

You will also get a complimentary eBook with a step-by-step visual guide to completing the project, tips, and step-outs of the tangles used. Additionally, you will find some examples of different drawings and tangles that you can use for inspiration.

By purchasing the class, you get unlimited access to all contents.

Supplies

I recommend using the following supplies:
  • White Zendala tile.
  • Sanguine Pitt artist pen by Faber Castell, size S. If you don’t have those, you can use any other fine liner in your chosen color, such as a Micron pen.
  • Watercolor pencil that matches the color of a pen (I was using Albrecht Dürer by Faber-Castell, sanguine 199). If you don’t use these brands, just use the ones you have.
  • Water brush or regular brush and some water.
  • Black pen (Micron PN, but you can use a Micron 01 or whatever you prefer, please make sure that it’s water-resistant).
  • Shading pencil (I used a  medium Nero pencil by Cretacolor).
  • Highlighting pencil (General’s White Charcoal).
  • Blending stumps/tortillons.
  • Optional: grey alcohol marker (such as Copic Warm Grey 3) and a liquid watercolor (such as Ecoline Bronze Green 657).
You can choose any colors you like and any supplies you own – just have fun!
